IVES MAES . Ruination
During the Covid-19 lockdown in Belgium, Ives Maes was working in his studio to uncover his vast archive of analogue photographs. From these digital scans he has selected 24 unpublished images for each hour of his day in these 365 END publishing’s.
Ives Maes (b. 1976) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. His work has been exhibited in group shows in the Ludwig Forum in Aachen, the Museo Carillo y Gil in Mexico City, the Museum Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt, the National Museum in Beijing, the 6th Moscow Biennial and the Prada Foundation in Milan. His solo exhibitions include the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, MuHKA Museum in Antwerp, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Ghent and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
