The ́Alphabet` project explores through various media and scales the potential of creating a new interpretative sign language. Through a kind of automatic writing that combines letter and image, symbols evolve that express a moment of simultaneous creation and collapse, a state of becoming. 

Ben Cottrell was born in 1972 in Truro, England. He lives and works in Berlin, Germany. His work has been exhibited internationally in institutions and galleries.
