STEPHEN LACK . The Children’s Hour

“The Children’s Hour” is a selection of Stephen Lack’s paintings of children, that have never been shown together.

 

Stephen Lack was born in 1946 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and lives and works in New York City.  He gained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University in 1967, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture at Universidad de Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in 1969. The Canadian artist, former actor and screenwriter, is perhaps best known for his leading role in David Cronenberg's “Scanners”. He was nominated for two Genie Awards for his leading role in Allan Moyle's “The Rubber Gun”, as well as for the screenplay, which he co-wrote with Moyle. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the U.S., Canada, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Mexico, South Korea and Japan, to name but a few.
